Upstate Cerebral Palsy is the premier provider of direct-care services and programs in Central New York for individuals of all abilities and their families.
We provide innovative programs and services that support individuals of all abilities. We create everyday miracles, one opportunity, and one person at a time.
We provide care and support to more than 15,000 children and adults annually. With over 80 locations throughout Central New York, we employ medical, clinical, and therapeutic personnel, teachers, social service staff, maintenance, clerical, and general support staff.

- Direct Support Positions serving Education, Residential, and Day Habilitation Programs

Featured Positions
Social Worker:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) with at least 12 semester hours of clinical coursework.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel).
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
Registered Nurse:
The Registered Nurse is responsible to assess and monitor medical concerns, review, provide nursing care to program participants, complete required documentation, provide in-services to staff, collaborate with physicians and nurse practitioners, certify AMAP’s, review and act on incident reports, provide on-call coverage and participate in Agency activities.
- AAS Degree in Nursing
- Current and valid New York State Registered Nurse license
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
- Sign-on bonus up to $2,000 with requirements met
Speech Language Pathologist:
- Masters in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid New York State license and registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Basic Computer Skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel)
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
- Clinical fellowship candidates welcome
- Sign-on bonus up to $1,500 with requirements met
Direct Support Professional - School Age and Adult:
The Direct Support Professional is responsible to implement each individualized plan, attend to personal care needs, oversee the health, safety, and well-being of the people we support, keep nurses advised, participate in Agency activities, transport and accompany people we support on activities and assist in daily housekeeping and other facility-related duties and maintain documentation.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Up to 1 year of experience
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
Licensed Practical Nurse:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible to provide daily nursing care, order medications, provide updates to the RN and Nurse Practitioners, train and orient AMAP’s, schedule appointments, participate in Agency activities and complete required documentation.
- A.A.S. Degree or High School Diploma plus Specialized Trade Certificate
- Valid NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse and current NYS Registration Certificate
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
- Sign-on bonus up to $2,000 with requirements met
Teacher Assistant:
The Teacher Assistant is responsible to aid with classroom activities, contribute to lesson planning, provide instruction, pursue individual IEP’s, provide daily ADL care, assist the team in planning activities, maintain accurate and timely records/charts, and participate in Agency activities.
- High School Diploma or GED
- The employee must possess one of the following:
- A valid NYS Teaching Assistant Level I certification or documentation verifying that all requirements have been met and submitted to NYSED Office of Teaching.
- A valid NYS classroom teacher’s certificate
- Must maintain Valid Level I Teacher Assistant Certification
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
Special Education Teacher:
The Special Education Teacher is responsible to see that each child’s IEP is carried out, take part in interdisciplinary team meetings, oversee classroom aides and assistants, compile reports and statistics, maintain supplies, and participate in Agency activities.
- Master’s Degree in Special Education
- Current Permanent New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education
- At least 3 years’ experience full-time classroom teaching
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
- Sign-on bonus up to $1,500 with requirements met
Board Certified Behavior Analyst:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) of Upstate Cerebral Palsy will lead the quality of autism services, agency education and collaborative partnership initiatives for the purpose of strengthening the infrastructure of supports available to children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities and their families.
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education or related field. Doctorate preferred in a related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification required. License in Behavior Analysis preferred.
- Two years of relevant experience in a related field
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
Residence Manager- School Age and Adult:
The Residence Manager is responsible to oversee daily shift operations, ensure accomplishment of program-wide goals, coordinate the scheduling of staff, complete all records and reports, facilitate on-site orientation and training, and monitor and provide supervisory oversight to the overall operations of the program. Participate in Agency activities under the supervision of the Coordinator.
- Minimum Requirement: Associates Degree in a related field (human services, sociology, general studies, etc.). 15 credit hours in a related field must be completed to qualify for the residence manager position.
- BS/BA in Human Services or related field preferred
- Minimum one-year experience
- Must have a valid NYS Driver License
